First Semester
As others have stated, it is great to find a master's program that isn't what we have all heard they are like. It just seems so natural to learn in this type of atmosphere. Everything is hands on, and we are given the opportunity to work and share with our peers who are all dealing with many of the same issues. I've learned so much in one semester, and I can't wait to use the knowledge in the classroom. Thanks to Barney, Dave, and everyone else for making this class very comfortable to be a part of. See you in September.

Refelecting on semester 1
Like so many of you I have had a great time during the summer session. After 15 years of teaching I had fallen into a rut. The information that I have gained through our class will help me out of that rut.
I had often thought about a masters program but was starting to doubt that I would ever have the time to take one with all of the coaching that I do. I am so glad that I was able to hear about this program.
There have been a lot of great ideas, and I can't wait to get back into my classroom to try them out. The class itself has been a great experience. Being able to learn from Barney, Dave , and the rest of you has been very beneficial to my professional, and personal growth. I would like to thank all of you for making this learning experience a very enjoyable one. Can't wait to meet in September and hear about how your classes are going.

First Semester Thoughts
I had a great time reading everyone's comments and feelings. I share the same thoughts and revelations as many of you do. I am very pleased I chose to work with Barney and Dave on the "Master's Road". I look for forward to an inspirational year with them and all of you. I am very excited to get back into my classroom and use some of the wonderful ideas from first semester. I am ready to build on some ideas I have used in the past and make them better. I am also ready to open the door to those around me who question or yearn to try something different. I truly appreciate the enthusiasm and desire I have for the upcoming school year from our masters program. I hope all of you enjoyed the last weeks of summer and are ready for the wonderful opportunities ahead. Have a fantastic beginning and remember, start small. See you in September.

1st Semester
As I have mentioned in class my brother-in-law suggested this program to me and had a lot of good things to say about. One of the big things he mentioned that he was definitely right about was how applicable this program was to what is going on in the classroom. I am looking forward to developing my project AS I implement components of it in my classroom. I have always had an idea in my head as to how I wanted my classroom to be and I believe that the project I have in mind will be constructing that very ideal. I am excited about it.
Which leads me to my other point, that I am happy to be around others who are also excited about learning and becoming better educators. I can only imagine what "other" education master programs are like and I just know that the MA-CEL program is nothing like them. I imagine a lot of note taking, research paper reading, paper writing, and presentations...all based on some theory that doesn't really apply to ME. After only one semester completed I feel I know everyone so well, started good friendships with peers, and have picked up some really useful information...I can only imagine where I will be after another year of this.

Reflection
The first semester has been more beneficial to me than I had anticipated. I had heard such great things about the program and the facilitators……and it was all true! I am looking forward to incorporating so many of the concepts we have covered into my classroom this year. The feedback I have received from others in class regarding my project has already had a positive impact on what my students will learn. It has been refreshing to work with teachers who are so passionate about improving our educational system.

My Journey
My 1st semester as been fantastic. This is the first time I can say that I enjoy going to class. I have learned so much in so little time not only from class but from all of you. I like to sit back and listen to all of your ideas and take them in, and see if I can implement them into my classroom. This has been a very relaxing environment which encourages me to participate in discussions. It has been exciting planning my first weeks of class with energizers trying to build that community that we have in Pulaski. Enjoy the last couple of weeks of summer!! See ya at the end of Sept.

Semester One
With our first semester complete I am feeling extremely motivated and inspired. I have learned so much in the last two weeks, not only about education but about myslef as a leaner. Like many of you I was also very hesitant to start grad school because everyone that I had ever talked to about it pretty much hated their program and dreaded going. I feel so fortunate to have found a program that I love. Barney, Dave and everyone involved challenges me to think about things in a new way. It is so nice to go to class, talk with such great teachers and come up with new ideas to implement in my classroom. I am very excited to start this school year off and am looking forward to our next class in September.
Good luck to everyone!
